We partnered with the Miami Heat to create the intro film for their 2026–27 NBA season, developing a creative concept that extended beyond the film itself to shape the wider pre-game experience at Kaseya Center.

Directed by Saskia d’Altena and Lobos director Andrew Garcia, the brief was to define the Heat without relying on the team’s long-standing visual shorthand: a basketball engulfed in flames. Our approach was to capture the feeling of heat instead. Using thermal cameras, in-camera shutter drags and handheld filters, we created flame-like imagery through light, movement and temperature - building a visual language that felt fresh, visceral and unmistakably Heat.

With just 10 minutes to film each player, we designed a tightly choreographed production approach, proposing three pre-lit setups on the court and a detailed camera plan to maximise efficiency without compromising the creative ambition.

The result: a new visual expression of Heat culture, built to ignite the arena in front of tens of thousands of fans, game after game.
