Lauren Graham, Patti LuPone & Dan Bucatinsky To Star Opposite Nick Borenstein In Indie Comedy ‘August’ Marking His Debut Feature

Lauren Graham (Twinless), Patti LuPone (Beau Is Afraid) and Dan Bucatinsky (The Comeback) are set to star opposite Nick Borenstein in August, a comedy marking Borenstein’s feature directorial, screenwriting, and acting debut.

Currently in production in New York City, the film follows a young, gay New Yorker (Borenstein) who, after the sudden death of his beloved therapist (Graham), spirals into an obsessive investigation as he becomes convinced her death was not accidental. Part mystery, part comedy, August blends humor with suspense in a New York caper about grief, obsession, therapy, and the increasingly blurry line between healing and spiraling.
